The American Russian-Speaking Association for Civil and Human Rights aims to protect and advance the civil and human rights in the countries where we were born and where we currently live – in countries of the former Soviet Union and in the United States. Our mission is to inform and educate the American public about the civil and human rights issues in our native countries and the policies that impact them, and to raise awareness about the Russian-speaking communities across the United States, their interests, needs, and contributions to American society. In pursuit of these goals, we organize Russian-speakers for collective action, promote their civic participation, and collaborate with other likeminded organizations in the United States and in other countries.
